National Programme for the Eradication of Bribery and Corruption

Bribery and corruption adversely affect every sphere of a country, including the economic, social and cultural.

The fraud, corruption and various irregularities committed by some public officers have not only damaged the reputation of the public service, but have also made it inefficient and held back the country's development.

Therefore, to eradicate corruption and fraud from the public service, a National Action Plan was put into operation from 18 March 2019.

Internal Affairs Units have now been established in ministries, departments and other public institutions to build a nation of integrity, free of bribery and corruption.

Under this programme, our Department has also established an Internal Affairs Unit, and the following officers have been appointed as the Head of the Unit and the Integrity Officer. A committee has also been appointed for the Unit's work, with members representing all divisions.
